Welcome to my website where I talk about my tutoring service. I may only be 10 years old, but I have great experience with both school and being with kids. I really want to help kids learn that learning is fun and help them with any problems or homework. I excel at many subjects and know many tricks in all of them to make reading, math or history fun and easy to memorize. I love learning and love helping others keep up or be ahead with the other students.
As an older brother to two siblings, I am very good with younger children and understand what makes them happy or frustrated, especially at school. I can tutor children from kindergarten to 3rd grades in standard school subjects especially math which is my personal favorite. I can show kids how to find the fun in their studies and see how rewarding learning "stuff" is.
Since I am young and I can understand that many people will perceive me to be an "amatuer tutor," I am happy to provide my services at a unbeatably low fee. I charge $10 for the first time I meet with the student; after that (and I'm sure you will see how much your child enjoyed the session!) I will charge $15 an hour. I can meet you at the Hoboken Public Library, the park (weather permitting) or your home if you are walking distance from me. If you would like to meet at my home we can arrange that too. Other tutors charge up to $100 an hour - you will see that I'm a great bargain and will make sure your child is happy and learning well.
I believe learning MUST be fun - every day is a learning experience, life is all about learning. I want to teach other children how to sincerely love the learning process, love school and of course learn!
A little about me,,,,,,I was born in Shanghai, lived in Hong Kong, NYC and most recently Hoboken for the last 5 years. I attended the Mustard Seed School and am currently at the Hudson School. I play drums and piano, love chess and am learning fencing.
